Blood Sisters is a thrilling mystery novel featuring Syd Walker, a Cherokee archaeologist, who returns to her hometown to investigate the disappearance of a woman whose skull was found with Syd's ID badge in its jaws, at the site of a horrific crime Syd and her sister witnessed as teenagers. Then she finds out that her sister has also disappeared. Syd searches for her sister, as well as the truth behind the traumatic events of her past.

Part 2 of the series "Uncovering Needs of Filipino Researchers with our Philippines Digital Collection" explores a UX research study aimed at improving the University of Michigan’s Philippines digital collection interface. The study initially focused on understanding user pain points with the legacy collection interface. Following the launch of a redesigned interface, short-term fixes were implemented based on user feedback, while long-term needs were documented for future platform updates.

When we moved our library catalog from Aleph to Alma in 2020, we left behind the Aleph OPAC (also known as Mirlyn Classic), which we had used as our “legacy” catalog for years even after moving first to a VuFind-based discovery layer (known as VuFind Mirlyn), and then to our current, homegrown, Library Search application. This describes how we built our authority browse features.
