I made a 3D model of Stephan's Quintet which is a group of five galaxies. This is for a project I work on to make astronomy more accessible to individuals with visual impairments. I use a software that converts images of stars into a 3D model by assigning an elevation to the bright stars. As it may be difficult to see the stars, 3D models provide another learning opportunity for individuals to learn about our universe. One difficult challenge I had with this is that the software I use to make models was making models with too many open edges. To solve this, I used Autodesk Fusion to fix up my model before printing.
