The CHOP (China Ongoing Film Perspectives) film series returns with an in-person showing of Tyrus (2015; 73 minutes) with Q&A on November 2, followed by an online lecture about it on November 3. Tyrus is a documentary about the renowned Chinese American artist Tyrus Wong, whose paintings became the inspiration for the classic animated feature Bambi.
The China Ongoing Perspectives (CHOP) film series, co-sponsored by the Lieberthal Rogel Center for Chinese Studies (LRCCS) and Asia Library, entered its second year in the midst of a pandemic.
The CHOP (China Ongoing Perspectives) series will be showing Zheng Qiong's 2016 film A Way Out on February 12 at 5:30 pm in Weiser Hall's 10th floor event space.
