The Digital Preservation Unit has been lucky enough to partner with folks in the library and on campus to help spread the word about our work. Last year, the UM School of Information produced a short video highlighting the Digital Preservation Lab. The video features students that worked in the lab at the time: Shelby Daniels-Young, Christina Min, and Lauren Seroka. They cut most of our giggling.
More recently, as part of our Winter Digital Magazine, the library released a podcast where we walk through the process of getting files off a floppy disk and talk a little how we are preparing to preserve digital content created now. Um, it’s totally more interesting than that previous sentence sounds…
I hope you enjoy these glimpses into our work!
