Join us on the 6th floor of Hatcher next Thursday, 21 November between 4-6p for our next Third Thursdays at the Library event of the semester!
This event will showcase the recently processed papers of Victor Perera, a Guatemalan-born Sephardic Jewish-American writer, journalist, and political activist. Learn about archival processing and the collection’s journey from a basement to library accessible via a finding aid. See highlights from Perera’s collection, including original drafts, materials from his time at the University of Michigan, and his research on Guatemala conflicts, whales, the Loch Ness Monster, his Sephardic Jewish genealogy, and the Perera family curse!
While you’re here, pick up a Third Thursday Passport and collect a stamp from each of the three Third Thursday Open Houses — the Clark Library, International Studies, and the Special Collections Research Center — to win a prize!
