I wanted something more durable than my previous coasters, which were falling apart. I asked my family to each draw a cat in their own style. I took all of these pictures, cleaned them up in Illustrator, and flipped them. Then I engraved the cats and cut out the coasters in acrylic. The design lab was very helpful in figuring out the engraving settings since some of the drawings had thinner lines than others. When using the coasters, I flip them back over so the engraving is on the bottom, and food/liquids don't get caught there. Many thanks to the design lab!
