Using files found on Thingiverse and from Morphosource I took models of some of my favorite animals including a snail and a box turtle and then used Blender to cut cylindrical holes to turn them into pots for some plant cuttings. When cutting the holes I also added a drainage hole, common in many pots to keep water from sitting in the soil. To catch this water I printed two trays that sit perfectly on the shelf holding the pots and containing the excess water. I hope to make more planters with this process using more museum specimen scans available on Morphosource.
