I designed a small regional jet last semester as part of my aircraft design coursework. It was super nice to be able to 3D‑print the model in the lab, and it now lives on my research desk as a reminder of that extremely fun project and a great decoration. One of the most satisfying parts of the print was seeing how well the very thin wings turned out. Even though the airfoil sections are slender, the print captured them with a smooth surface finish and enough infill that they feel solid instead of fragile, especially compared to my earlier attempts to print it myself.
