We have a few exciting things to announce. Firstly: Starting on Monday November 8th, we'll be expanding our hours to Monday-Friday 1-7pm. Secondly: We'll now be open for same-day online reservations and walk-in reservations. Thirdly: The CVGA is open despite most of the Duderstadt Center basement being closed. Lastly: We have new games! So come visit us.
The end of the semester is already approaching, as are holiday breaks. Here is what our hours of operation will look like over the next month or so. We'll be closed Wednesday - Friday over Thanksgiving week. For the first two weeks of December, we plan to be open with our normal hours, with our last day open for the semester on Friday, December 13th. Then we'll plan to reopen on the first day of Winter classes: Wednesday, January 8th.
As the Winter term comes to an end, we like to take a look back and see which games were most popular in the archive over the course of the year. We take a look at our top 10 games over the Winter term, with FIFA being played about 3 times as often as anything else. We also have a few new games that have taken off, including Spider-Man, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and the surprise couch co-op hit, Overcooked 2. Looking at our top 10 list over the Fall and Winter semester, we see some similarities, with FIFA taking the lead and Mario Kart making the list as well. In addition, Rock Band 3 made it on the list for the first time in quite awhile.
Welcome back, everyone. We wanted to alert you to a slight change in CVGA hours for the Winter term. We usually have a maintenance window on Monday mornings that we use to keep our systems running, but this window has been temporarily been moved to Thursday mornings. During the Winter term, we will be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (1/21) as well as during Winter break.
Summer term has begun, and with it our reduced hours of operation. We'll be open Monday - Friday 1-5pm through August 18th, when the term ends. Then we'll be closed for the intercession, and will reopen with the start of the Fall term. So enjoy the outdoors, and don't forget to play some video games during the afternoon heat while you still can.

We have an interesting batch of games on our top 10 list this month. With our hours reduced and lots of regular faces in the archive, we got to see everyone's favorite games make the list, including an Atari game (possibly for the first time).
Also, just a reminder that our Fall expanded hours will start on Tuesday, September 8th. They'll also be a little different this year as we close an hour earlier than last year (8pm) and do away with our Saturday hours. So get your gaming in during the week while you can!
