The Deep Blue Data development and service teams have been hard at work incorporating feedback from our diverse community of users. Development is ongoing and we are rolling out many small changes, but we are excited to highlight a few new features that we have released recently:
Grant Information:
Many of our users expressed a need to demonstrate grant compliance. We added fields on the deposit form for grant numbers given by the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) as well as funding agencies.
Citation to Related Material:
Users also wanted to be able to link their datasets to related publications, both in Deep Blue and elsewhere on the web. We added a field on the deposit form that turns into a hyperlink so it is easy to reference the paper and dataset simultaneously.
In addition to helping depositors meet their requirements, these changes also help strengthen the findability and reusability of these datasets.
We are continuing to learn more about our users’ needs and those will continue to shape the future of Deep Blue Data development. Stay tuned as we continue to release more features.
