Spectacular Stencils: Gorgeous Examples from our Pochoir Collection

Join us on the 6th floor of Hatcher this Thursday, 18 September between 4-6p for our first Third Thursdays at the Library event of the semester! This event will feature colorful stencil prints.

Pochoir, French for stencil, was a popular technique for creating multicolored art popular in the early part of the 20th century. See our vibrant examples from design, fashion, and garden publications, as well as a meticulously crafted new reproduction of the most famous pochoir artwork, an artist’s book by Sonia Delaunay.

While you’re here, pick up a Third Thursday Passport and collect a stamp! Make it around to all four Third Thursday Open Houses — the Clark Library, International Studies, Asia Library, and the Special Collections Research Center — and win a prize!
