Starting November 1, 2019 the University of Michigan Library has access to the new version of SciFinder — SciFinder-n. In fact, both will be accessible to our users with the same login and password information.
SciFinder, produced by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), is the most comprehensive database for chemical literature, searchable by topic, author, substances, or CAS Registry Number. Users can also use the editor to draw chemical structures, substructures, or reactions. It is a core research tool for chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, nanotechnology, physics, environmental science and other science and engineering disciplines.
The onboarding training by the CAS team will take place on Tuesday, November 5.
